Frugal Scrapper Extraordinaire:)

For those of you who have been following my blog, THANK YOU, I'm still here and as FRUGAL as ever. I'm just expanding my blog title to further reflect my "altered" muse. I'm still the same (sometimes goofy) FRUGAL SCRAPPER that I've always been and will continue to focus on FRUGAL papercrafting projects:)

Card Patterns Sketch 167

Happy Memorial Day to all my crafty blogger friends!

Please remember all the men and women that have and are defending our country today:)

I'm sitting here in my crafting room today, full of inspiration with the help of Card Patterns, of course.

I was inspired by sketch 167 to make a card using some of my "old" stash of papers and some of my "new" My Favorite Things and Technique Tuesday stamps.

First let me share this week's Card Pattern's sketch:

Isn't this a great sketch?

Here is my take on it:

I just LOVE these stamps and the paper I found in my stash is just PERFECT for a Father's Day card:)

Wedding theme at Frosted Designs:)

June is right around the corner, and with this most beautiful month comes oh so many weddings!  Of course, following true tradition, my own wedding anniversary is June 7th.  I'm always amazed, thrilled and oh so blessed to have married my best friend.  We will be celebrating 32 years of marriage in just a few short weeks and was thrilled that Frosted Designs chose "wedding" for the theme this week.

I chose to make a card using my favorite, aqua and black.  I used a little bit of cosmo cricket, graphic 45 and my favorite Bazzill cardstock along with some awesome wedding stamps, some ribbon, and some kaiser craft pearls.

Come on over and join in on the fun over at Frosted Designs Fabulous Friday challenge and show us what you've got...the BEST news?????  You will have the chance to win a most wonderful prize from our sponsors over at Copic Markers.  How cool is that?

Frosted Designs Challenge

I am so excited to share another great project with you that was inspired by a couple of things...I FINALLY received the distress markers I ordered....3 months ago, lol...

Now I know I have alot to learn about the many ways they can be used, and I have watched a few videos...btw, what did we do before utube?  In any event, I really am lovin' them so far!!!

Another inspiration was a NEW set of Technique Tuesday Stamps I received recently.  I used the stamps along with the distress markers to make some awesome whimsical "flowers" and love the way the colors of the distress markers do not get "muddy".  Both the stamp set I used AND the distress markers are in stock over at Ever After Scrapbooks, so please make sure to visit.

The card here also represents the challenge over at Frosted Designs.  Our challenge was to use "lacing" in our project.  Now, I did find I was a bit "creatively challenged" on this one, but was amazed by the work the other DT members created.  Make sure you go take a look at their work.  They are VERY talented!

Here is my "take" on the challenge:)

You should also play along with the Fabulous Friday challenge over at the Frosted Designs blog as there is a really cool prize for a lucky winner of the challenge.  This week's sponsor is Quick Quotes.  Go check them out, too.  They have some awesome products.
