Frugal Scrapper Extraordinaire:)

For those of you who have been following my blog, THANK YOU, I'm still here and as FRUGAL as ever. I'm just expanding my blog title to further reflect my "altered" muse. I'm still the same (sometimes goofy) FRUGAL SCRAPPER that I've always been and will continue to focus on FRUGAL papercrafting projects:)

After a Scrappin' weekend with my SC09 Committee Buds:)

I had an awesome weekend with my fellow SC09 (Survivor Crop '09) committee members at a Scrappin' Escapes getaway in SD.

I did finish 1 scrappin' page and the 100% All Boy mini book (added pics to that), but spent most of my weekend creating cards for my MOSD Design Team post today, a challenge for 365 Cards (which also doubles as samples for my next "Frugal Scrappin'" class at EA on Sept 21).

First of all, my Layered Stamp cards...I initially made these cards for my upcoming "Frugal Scrappin'" class at Ever After Scrapbooks, but when I got home I realized these cards also qualify for the 365 Cards-Day 175 Challenge.
Whoo hoo!!! Multi-tasking and I didn't even know it...I LOVE IT WHEN A PLAN COMES TOGETHER...especially one that I wasn't expecting:)
Next I worked on cards using the MOSD film slides as my focal point. I spruced the slides up with some ribbon and stamps (using Staz On ink, of course). I think these turned out pretty awesome:)

Enjoy and thanks for visiting:)

Survivor Crop '09's theme this year is "Thinkin' Pink and Goin' Green", so when Sheila and I got together yesterday to discuss some of the spreadsheets for the event, I couldn't resist taking this picture...how cool that we had our PINK and GREEN laptops with us:)

365 Cards Challenge

Today is a "play day" (at least until I go to work at EA, lol)...

While visiting the 365 Cards Blog today, I found an inspirational challenge to make a card using alphabet stickers AND at least 1 numeric sticker...now we ALL have alpha/numeric stickers in our stash, don't we?

What a great inspiration to get them out and use some of them...while I was in my "sticker drawer", I found some really old repositional stickers I've had for AT LEAST 10 years! I'm going to use them in a project as a "mask". Can't wait to see how the project evolves:)

Thanks, 365 Cards for this great challenge!

Remember to CRE8 every day!

Thanks for stopping by...I'll leave the light on, ya hear?

Survivor Crop 2009

I have to tell you all about an AWESOME event in it's 8th year...that's right it's 8th year, whoo hoo!

I am one of the committee members for an awesome cropping event called "Survivor Crop". Survivor Crop is an event held in October of each year where papercrafters join together for a common goal...to raise funds for breast cancer awareness...the sole beneficiary of this event is the San Diego affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the cure Foundation.

Up to this year, Survivor Crop has raised almost $290,000 for this very important foundation. For any of you who live near San Diego or would just LOVE to visit San Diego, please consider signing up for this event. You will find more information on the event here.

The event is a 24 hour crop starting on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 9 a.m. and ending at 9 a.m. on Sunday, October 18.

You can visit the Survivor Crop Blog if you need more info:)

As one of my fellow committee members says:

"When life gives you lemons, make Pink Lemonade".

Have a great day and thanks for visiting:)
