Frugal Scrapper Extraordinaire:)

For those of you who have been following my blog, THANK YOU, I'm still here and as FRUGAL as ever. I'm just expanding my blog title to further reflect my "altered" muse. I'm still the same (sometimes goofy) FRUGAL SCRAPPER that I've always been and will continue to focus on FRUGAL papercrafting projects:)

FD Craft Room Blog Hop and awesome prize!

Ya know, things just work out  they should sometimes, don't they?  The Frosted Designs Blog is hosting a Crafting Room Blog Hop from Friday, June 15th at 6 p.m. Central Time until Sunday, June 17th and since I JUST redesigned my craft room, I was THRILLED to be able to participate.

First of all, I just have to show you my "old" crafting room...well now I know that I am still VERY BLESSED in the fact that I do have a crafting room of my own to begin with, ya know?

O.k., now on to my current crafting room.  This is the picture of my current room BEFORE the redesign.  Now, this is when my "creative" juices were flowing, but I have to be honest and say, I almost NEVER cleaned it up (much to my OCD hubby's dismay).

So, I know that I should count my blessings (and I do) since I do have quite a few of those crafting cubes but I never seemed to have enough storage space.

We then found ourselves the proud owners of a corner desk that I knew would be the PERFECT addition to my space...so my very sweet hubbie and I proceeded to move the desk from our garage into my crafting room...BOY was that desk (and all it's parts) HEAVY!

Here is my redesigned crafting space.

I wanted to show you all a close-up of my work space, too.

I just LOVE the depth here.  I can leave my recently created projects out for inspiration. Below is the other side of the room.  The shelf at the bottom is actually from Target and is supposed to store shoes.  I did not install the cross boards because I wanted bigger openings.  I found rectangular baskets at Michaels that are perfect for storing ribbon, punches, catalogs, etc in them.

I've had the shelf at the top for a very a long time.  I store my alcohol inks, stickles and mini misters along with jars filled with buttons on these shelves.

I also want to show you one of my favorite organizational tips.

Being a HUGE Tim Holtz fan, I have a TON of distress inks and organize them here.

I got a really cute suitcase from Michaels a while back and it's perfect for storing my inks.  I also placed a few long, narrow baskets in the lid to store some of my favorite and most used tools/supplies.

When I want to go to a crop, I just take the baskets out and close up the suitcase for easy travel with my inds.  Here is a close up of how I label my inks to keep them straight.

I know there are many ways to do this, but all I did was take a sticker sheet and type all of my colors on it.  Then I trimmed the list so they would fit on the side of the ink containers...yes, I know, I could even get more organized and put them in alphabetical order...maybe another day:)

I hope you've enjoyed taking a look at my crafting space.  With all of the added drawers from the desk, I have plenty of storage space now...can you keep a secret????  I actually have 2 or 3 drawers that are currently empty...just don't tell my hubby, o.k.?

O.k., now if you've made it all the way to the end of this message, first of all, you deserve a huge THANK YOU...and of course a chance to win a most wonderful PRIZE!

Now since this is my first prize offering, I will need to limit it to the 48 contiguous states at this time.  To enter, just leave me a comment below and I will randomly pick a winner.  You have until 12 midnight Pacific time on June 17th to leave a comment.  I will randomly choose a winner on January 18th at 7 p.m. Pacific time.  I will post the winner on my blog at that time and ask you to contact me with your address.

Thanks so much for visiting!  Now go on and get to the next stop in the blog hop.  The links are below.
